Drains & blockages

Slow sink?
Start here.

A shower that drains slowly, a sink that backs up, or more than one fixture affected. Explain what happens when you run the water.

One fixture or several?

Knowing which fixtures are affected helps a plumber understand the scope of the issue. Mention whether the problem is limited to one basin or appears in other parts of the home too.

02

Look for the cause.

A blockage, a damaged section, or another issue can produce similar symptoms. The appropriate assessment and clearing method depend on the pipework, access, and what is found. Avoid assuming a recurring blockage has the same cause every time.

  • Which sinks, showers, or toilets are affected
  • How quickly the water drains
  • Whether the issue returns after previous work
  • Any unusual sounds or overflow
03

Plan the next step.

Tell the business what you know and ask how it will assess the problem. If there is overflowing wastewater or an immediate property concern, contact an appropriate real local service. This is an example inquiry journey only.

Keep exploring.
